Matthew 2:11
And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
Not only did they travel afar to see him, and worship him, they opened their treasures and presented unto him gifts. This scene has been recounted and represented thousands of times throughout history since then. Even our tradition of giving each other Christmas gifts has started from this original act of worship to Jesus the King.
